Mae Sot EV Rent A Car ("we") rents electric cars in Mae Sot, Tak, Thailand. This page explains what we collect when you book, why, and for how long, under Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).
What we collect when you book online
- Your name and phone number — to confirm and arrange pickup
- Email (if given) — to send a booking summary
- Dates, times, pickup and return points, the car, and any message you leave
- Your deposit transfer slip — to verify payment
- Your LINE user ID — only if you send your booking code to our LINE account, so we can send status updates
We do not store ID cards, passports or driving licences on the website. We ask for those on LINE after confirming, only to verify identity as required for car rental.
What we use it for
Managing your booking, contacting you about pickup and return, issuing receipts, and meeting legal obligations. We never sell or share your data for marketing.
Where and how long
- Booking data lives on Cloudflare (D1 database and R2 storage), accessible only to the business owner after login
- Transfer slips are deleted automatically within 180 days
- Booking records are kept 2 years for tax and dispute purposes, then deleted
- We do not store your IP address with your booking
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data at any time — message us on LINE @maesotev or email hello@maesotev.com. We reply within 7 days.
Cookies
This site uses no tracking cookies and no advertising. Cloudflare's bot check (Turnstile) on the booking form may set a short-lived cookie to verify you are human.
