Common questions
How much charge do I return it with?
You get it at 100%. Return it at 50% or above and there is nothing to pay. Below that, a flat THB 300 recharge fee, so there is no hunting for a charger before you hand it back.
Can I drive to Tak or Umphang?
Yes, with unlimited kilometres inside Tak province. Mae Sot to Tak and back is 172 km on a single charge. Umphang is 164 km one way, so charge there before heading back. Tell us and we plan it with you.
Can foreigners rent?
Yes. Bring your passport and either an International Driving Permit or a home licence in Roman script, and be 21 or over. We speak English on WhatsApp and LINE.
How much is the deposit?
THB 3,000 to 6,000 per car depending on the model, transferred at booking and refunded in full within 1 to 3 working days after the car is returned and checked.
What if I have an accident?
Call us immediately, and 1669 if anyone is injured. Leave the car where it is until the police arrive. Every car carries comprehensive insurance, with a THB 5,000 excess only if you are at fault.
Do you deliver outside town?
Yes. Free within 10 km of the municipal office. Beyond that it is charged in 5 km bands, from THB 100 at 11–15 km up to THB 950 at 96–100 km. Crossing the Tak–Mae Sot mountain road is THB 600 each way, and Bangkok or Chiang Mai is a flat THB 5,000. Full table on the pricing page.
How far ahead should I book?
A day or two is usually enough, but we only run a small fleet and long weekends and holidays fill fast. A week ahead is safer.
What is the minimum rental?
One day, counted as 24 hours from the time you actually collect the car.
How do I pay?
Bank transfer or PromptPay. Deposit at booking, the balance on the day. Receipts available.
I have never driven an EV. Is it hard?
Easier than a petrol car. No gears, just press and go. We spend five minutes on the controls and charging at handover, and you can call us any time.
My hotel has no charger. Is that a problem?
No. A full battery covers several days around town. If you do need a top-up we will point you to a working charger, or collect the car and charge it for you inside town.
How long does charging take?
DC fast charging takes roughly 25 to 30 minutes from 30 to 80%. A normal wall socket overnight adds about 10 to 15% an hour.
Do you have child seats?
Yes, free to borrow subject to availability. Tell us the age and weight of the child when you book.
Does it have Apple CarPlay?
The Geely EX2, BYD Dolphin and BYD Seal 6 all support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Tesla Model 3 runs its own system with no CarPlay, but Bluetooth and music streaming work as normal.
Can I drive into Myawaddy, Myanmar?
No. The car may not leave Thailand under any circumstances. The insurance would not cover it and it breaches the agreement.
Can I return outside opening hours?
Yes, always by prior arrangement. Normal hours are 08:00–18:00. Outside them: THB 200 for 18:00–22:00 and 04:00–08:00, THB 300 for 22:00–04:00.
Can I extend mid-rental?
Yes. Message us at least 12 hours before the end. If nobody has booked the car after you, we extend it at the rate for the new length.
Is there a dashcam?
Every car has a front-facing dashcam, for the protection of both sides. No audio is recorded in the cabin.
Should I wash it before returning?
No need. Ordinary road dust is on us. Unusual mess such as thick mud or stains inside is charged at cost.
Will you have more cars?
Four right now, from a city car up to a full-size sedan. All of them are ours and maintained by us. We would rather run a small fleet in genuinely good condition than a large one we cannot keep on top of. Tell us what you would like us to add.
Ready to go?
