Five things worth knowing
Do not wait for 100%
DC charging is fast between 20 and 80%, then slows right down. A 20-minute stop over lunch beats waiting for a full battery.
Climbs cost range, descents give it back
On the road to Umphang the remaining-range figure drops quickly on the way up and recovers on the way down through regenerative braking. Do not panic at the first number.
Air conditioning is cheap
Unlike a petrol car, running the air conditioning barely touches the battery. Sitting in the car with it on costs almost nothing.
Plan on 80% of the number
Treat the range on the dash as about 80% usable once you account for hills, headwind and luggage.
A wall socket works overnight
The cable in the car plugs into a normal socket and adds roughly 10 to 15% an hour. Always ask your hotel first.
